Dr. Van Sicklen fell in love with everything that the Central Coast has to offer while pursuing his undergraduate studies at Cal Poly, and he’s proud to now be practicing here alongside Dr. Badhan and Dr. Fratto at Cambria Smiles. He will work hard to not only meet your needs as a patient, but hopefully exceed your expectations as well through his dedicated dental care approach. Where Did You Study Dentistry?

After Cal Poly, Dr. Van Sicklen chose to follow in his father’s footsteps and pursue his dental education at the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, CA. Upon his graduation in 2011, he was presented with awards for both the International Congress of Oral Implantology and the Academy of Osseointegration for his commitment to excellence and outstanding casework in the field of implant dentistry.

Have you Undergone Any Additional Training in Dentistry?

Following graduation, Dr. Van Sicklen attended a General Practice Residency at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Memphis, TN. This program allowed him to gain valuable experience by training with many specialists in the surgical and reconstructive fields of dentistry. Following his completion of the residency, he chose to return to the Central Coast to establish his dental career!

What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Van Sicklen is very active in dental leadership, particularly with the Central Coast Dental Society, where he is currently serving as the immediate past president. He also maintains an adjunct faculty position with the University of the Pacific Dugoni School of Dentistry, which allows him to train dental students during mission trips to the Moala Village in Fuji.
